Full-Time Faculty
Education Dr. Israel is a visiting faculty member at Penn State for 2007-08 and teaches Renaissance-Baroque architectural history. She completed her dissertation, “The Picture of Poverty: The Patronage of Doge Christoforo Moro in Renaissance Venice” in 2007. Her research has been supported by The American Academy in Rome and the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation. As the editor of Thresholds during 2002, she received a Graham Foundation Grant for an issue that focused on visual culture and religion. Her current research focuses on the translation of relics to Venice and early modern metallurgical practices. |
