Users and lending policies

The VRC is intended first and foremost to support the teaching of Art History courses offered by the departmental faculty. This faculty has priority for using the slides. Faculty from other Penn State departments and colleges may use the collection as long as the needs of the Department of Art History are not compromised. The VRC is also available to departmental graduate students. All slides borrowed must be checked out by the VRC staff and returned within 48 hours. Please note that we have set limits on the amount of slides that can be borrowed. Further, slides may be used for educational purposes only; they may not be duplicated.

If you are a newcomer and wish to use the slide collection, please make an appointment with the VRC staff for a brief orientation.

The Department of Art History does not supply projectors or screens. This equipment may be obtained from Media and Technology Support Services (MTSS).

For further information, please contact the VRC staff.
